January = Poetry month at Cove!

This week is our kickoff of the 4th Grade Poetry Residency with Andrew Green of Potato Hill Poetry.  This residency is funded in part by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and our PTO.  Andrew will also visit the 5th Graders on Friday of this week.  Our Kindergarten through 3rd Grade classrooms will also be working on Poetry this month.  They will be visited by Meg Grant and work on a poetry and art project during her visits.  

All of this amazing work will culminate at our 3rd Annual Cove Poetry Cafe on Thursday January 26th, where families and friends are invited to an evening event of music, poetry and cafe' snacks.  Save the date for this "give back night" where PTO invites families to come together as a community free of charge or donation....  and if you're interested in reading, bring your favorite poem along!
